Which Naples City Card is the best?
There are several passes for Naples that might be of interest to you.
But how do you find the best pass for you quickly and easily? My free savings calculator can find out for you in just a few seconds!
How do the attraction passes in Naples work?
Whether you opt for the Naples Turbo Pass, the Naples Pass or another attraction pass, the way they work is essentially the same:
- Step 1: After purchase, you will receive the booking confirmation by email.
- Step 2: You can save this as an electronic version in the app of the respective provider.
- Step 3: Once you are in Naples, show it at the attraction’s ticket counter (note: some attractions require a reservation).
- Step 4: You’re ready to go!
Common features
The Naples Turbopass), the Campania Artecard Naples, the Naples Pass, the Naples Digital Pass (Tiqets) and the Pompeii & Vesuvius Pass (Tiqets) have several things in common.
All of these passes offer simplified access to a variety of attractions and sights without having to buy individual tickets.
They often offer considerable savings compared to buying tickets individually and can include flexible use over several days.
In addition, some of these passes also offer discounts in selected shops and restaurants, free public transport or special access authorisations that avoid waiting in long queues.
Differences
While the Naples Turbopass and Naples Pass cover a wide range of attractions in Naples, the Campania Artecard focuses more on cultural and historical sites. The Naples Digital Pass offers a digital experience focussed on specific attractions. The Pompeii & Vesuvius Pass, on the other hand, focuses on the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Vesuvius.
Hop-on hop-off city tours
The city tours with the hop-on hop-off buses are a great way to explore the city and learn lots of interesting facts via the audio guide. They are only included in the Turbopass Naples.
Tickets for local public transport
Some passes include tickets for local public transport. This allows you to travel from one attraction to the next at no extra cost. You can use the metro (called Metropolitana), buses, trams and funiculars (Funicolare).
The tickets are included with these City Cards:
- Turbopass Naples (optional): the ticket is valid for as long as the duration of the Turbopass (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 days)
- Naples Pass: 3 days
- Campania Artecard: 3 days
Which Naples City Card is the best?
For me, the Turbopass Naples is the best City Card, as it offers the best overall concept of attractions, tours and public transport tickets, which makes it particularly interesting for first-time visitors. What’s more, its price-performance ratio is unbeatable!
Here you can buy the Naples Turbopass on the official website.
If you don’t want to do the city tours and the popular guided tour through the catacombs, it’s worth taking a look at my alternative: the Naples Pass. It specialises in 5 important sights, the tickets for the buses and trains are valid for 3 days and it is top-rated!
Here you can buy the Naples Pass.
