When is the Chicago Digital Pass worth it?

If you’re only in Chicago for a short time or simply want to experience exactly the three attractions that are included, the Chicago Digital Pass is perfect for you.

By setting a visit date when you purchase the pass, you are guaranteed that the attractions will be available on your chosen day, so you can visit them no matter what.

My tip: Take a look at the Explorer Pass for Chicago. It is also available for 3 attractions, but you have a wider choice of attractions.

When is the pass not worth it?

  • If you don’t visit all the specified attractions, the pass is not worth it! In such a case, it is advisable to purchase the tickets directly on site at the ticket office.

Where can you buy the Chicago Digital Pass?

You can easily buy the pass on the Tiqets website. After purchasing, you will receive your digital pass by email, which you can simply download to your smartphone.

What I like

  • 100% digital ticket: You can use the pass directly on your smartphone after purchase. No need to collect a physical pass on site!</li
  • Save time: You can use the pass to skip the queue at the viewing platform and the Art Institute, saving you valuable holiday time.
  • Discount: With the 10 per cent discount voucher for additional bookings, you can discover even more of Chicago and save money in the process.

What I don’t like

  • Limited choice of attractions: The pass only includes three fixed attractions. If these do not meet your requirements, the pass is not the right choice
  • Individual tickets: You will not receive a real pass, but 3 individual tickets.
  • Slots must be available: The Digital Pass can only be redeemed if there are still places or time slots available on your desired day. You must specify your preferred date when booking and cannot change it later.

My tip: Book as soon as you have planned your trip so that you can actually visit all the included sights during your stay.

The pass offers only a small saving and is therefore not one of my favourites, but it allows you an uncomplicated visit to the Windy City if you want to go to exactly these sights.
