Tiqets Pass Amsterdam
If you want to save money on the major attractions and tours in Amsterdam, there’s no way around the right attraction pass for Amsterdam. One of these is the Tiqets Amsterdam Pass – with it you can theoretically (!) visit the most important sights of Amsterdam for a favourable price and thus save not only money but also time.

But why I can’t recommend the Amsterdam Pass (and what is the much better alternative), I’ll tell you here!
What are the advantages of buying an Amsterdam Pass?
- Officially includes 6 attractions, but only the canal cruise, the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum are among the top sights
- incl. train ticket from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam
- simply print out or download to your mobile
- BUT: no real savings possible because the other spots are only audio guides
My tip: a much better alternative is the I Amsterdam City Card.
What is the Amsterdam Pass?
The Amsterdam Pass from Tiqets is a collective ticket for attractions. It is available in only one version with 6 attractions. Only three of them are real highlights.
Which attractions are included in the Amsterdam Pass?
You can visit these attractions with the Amsterdam Pass by Tiqets:
- Canal boat trip
- Rijksmuseum
- Van Gogh Museum
- 2 audio guides
- Train ticket from Schiphol to Amsterdam
Is the Amsterdam Pass worth it?
No – even if I include all the real attractions and the train ticket, you won’t save any money.
Attractions | Costs without pass |
---|---|
Rijksmuseum | 23 EUR |
Van Gogh Museum | 23 EUR |
City canal cruise | 23 EUR |
Costs of individual tickets | 69 EUR |
Costs pass by Tiqets | 66 EUR |
ERSPARNIS | only 3 EUR, equivalent to 5% |
When is the Amsterdam Pass not worth it?
The Amsterdam Pass is never actually worthwhile, as you can see from my calculation example. If you only want to visit one or two selected attractions, it’s better for you to book the tickets for these individually or – even better – take a look at the I Amsterdam Card.
Or you can compare them in my Amsterdam Card comparison to find the best pass for you!

How does the Amsterdam Pass work?
The principle of the Attractions Pass is very simple and straightforward:
- Step 1: You book the Amsterdam Pass online and …
- Step 2: … receive your booking confirmation and all tickets by email
- Step 3: You can save this in the Tiqets app or simply print it out
- Step 4: When you start your sightseeing tour in Amsterdam, show your tickets as a printed version or in the app at the ticket counter of the attraction
- Step 5: Scan them there and you’re done!
What I like
- Unfortunately nothing, because you neither save money nor have a real time advantage
What I don’t like
- any other pass is better because they offer more choice and you can save a lot. Make sure you check out the I Amsterdam City Card. It is by far the best attraction pass for Amsterdam
What is the alternative?
The I Amsterdam City Card is more than just an alternative – it does everything that the Amsterdam Pass from Tiqets does and includes a total of 70 attractions and tickets for the tram, metro, bus and ferry!
If you are only interested in individual attractions in Amsterdam, you can also simply buy the tickets individually.
