Wondering how to quickly and easily find out which Amsterdam City Card is the best? Then try my free Amsterdam savings calculator here!
Simply select the attractions and tours you want to visit and you’ll see which Amsterdam Pass is worthwhile for you!
My tip: You can find an overview of all of them in my Amsterdam City Card comparison.
How the savings calculator for Amsterdam works
I have entered the regular ticket prices for adults and children for over 40 different sights and tours that you can visit in Amsterdam. This is the price you would have to pay if you were to book the attraction separately.
In addition, the current prices including the valid discount codes are listed for each of the many Amsterdam Passes (over 30 different options in total).
Now you can calculate which Amsterdam Pass is worthwhile for you based on your individual travel wishes. And you will also find out if none of the Amsterdam Passes are worthwhile!
Depending on which attractions you have selected, there may be two best passes for you: a convenient one and the cheapest one.
What does the most convenient pass mean?
The most convenient pass is the one that includes all your attractions. This means you don’t need to book any other separate admission tickets – with this pass, you already have all the tickets in your hand!
What does the cheapest Amsterdam Pass mean?
In some cases, you can maximize your savings by combining the Amsterdam Card and individual tickets.
For example, there is the Amsterdam Explorer Pass for 3 and 4 attractions. Let’s assume that you have selected 4 attractions that are all included in the Explorer Pass. Then your most convenient option is the Explorer Pass for 4 attractions.
However, you will also be charged if it makes sense to choose the smaller pass with 3 attractions and buy the admission tickets for your 4th attraction separately.
This is always the case if this attraction is cheaper individually than the surcharge from the smaller to the larger Explorer Pass. As a result, you will need both your Amsterdam Pass and the single ticket in Amsterdam!
So you can decide for yourself which option is best for you!
Tip for travelling with children
The pass providers often have different age limits for children. You should therefore check whether or not your child is considered an adult before travelling!
Name | Age limit for children |
---|---|
I amsterdam Card | same price as adults |
Explorer Pass Amsterdam (Go City) | 3 to 12 years |
Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass (Go City) | 3 to 12 years |
Amsterdam Pass (Tiqets) | 5 to 11 years |
