How does the Amsterdam Pass work?
The name says it all: as with the all-you-can-eat principle, you can visit as many attractions as you like with the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass. Here I show you how the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass works:
- Step 1: You decide on the number of full sightseeing days (2, 3 or 5 days)
- Step 2: You buy the Sightseeing Pass online (this is best done here) …
- Step 3: … and receive your confirmation by email. You can either print this out or simply load it into the Go City app.
- Step 4: Show this at the ticket counters of the attractions in Amsterdam, it will be scanned and you will be given access to the attraction.
- Step 5: This continues until the days you booked in step 1 have elapsed.
The good thing is that you can even save time at some of them because there are special queues for pass holders. The Go City app offers a little extra with additional information on sights, tours and trips as well as special tips for anyone visiting Amsterdam.
What I like
- good selection of attractions
- City canal cruise is included
- High savings possible, even with 2-3 attractions per day
- Easy handling with the app
- Lots of additional information about Amsterdam’s attractions
What I don’t like
- Many important attractions are missing, such as the Van Gogh Museum, the Rembrandt House and public transport tickets
What is the alternative to the Amsterdam All-Inclusive Pass?
The I Amsterdam City Card is more than just an alternative – it can do everything the All-Inclusive can do and includes a total of 70 attractions and tickets for the tram, metro, bus and ferry!
If you are only interested in individual attractions in Amsterdam, you can also simply buy the tickets individually.
My tip: make sure you do this before you arrive in Amsterdam. This will definitely save you time at the attractions (because you already have your ticket) and they are often cheaper than if you buy them on site.
